I'm Amorette, but You Can Call Me Amy

Amorette means “Little Love” in Latin — and that's exactly where Little Love Midwifery began.

Little Love Midwifery was born from a desire to support women through pregnancy and birth with individualized care, honest education, and true informed consent. I believe every family deserves the ability to make decisions confidently and feel empowered throughout their journey.

I'm also the grateful mother of three children. Healthcare had always been a passion of mine, but it wasn't until after the birth of my third child that I realized I was being called somewhere deeper: midwifery.

THE STORY BEHIND

I want every woman to feel engaged, educated, and empowered throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

MY MISSION

I often describe my care as a roadmap to a healthy mom and a healthy baby. My role isn't to choose your path for you — it's to walk beside you while you choose it yourself, offering professional guidance and support every step of the way.

THE BIRTH STORY THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

Why I Became a Midwife

My own birth story didn't go the way I'd planned — and that's exactly what gave me clarity.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, Scarlett, I hired a midwife I trusted completely. On the day of delivery she wasn't able to attend, and the midwife who came in her place was kind and capable, but we hadn't yet had time to build that same trust. When Scarlett's heart rate climbed and an emergency transport was called, I felt like I'd lost all the control and confidence I'd built up to that point. A few miles from the hospital, I welcomed my own “little love” into my arms in the back of the ambulance.

I never wanted another woman to feel powerless or disconnected from her own birth experience, even when things take an unexpected turn. That day became the beginning of my journey toward becoming a Certified Professional Midwife. Today, Little Love Midwifery exists so the families I serve always feel informed, supported, and like their voice matters — no matter how their story unfolds.

We may start this journey as strangers, but by the time you deliver, we'll be family.
